Corrections Log

Last reviewed: April 18, 2026. This is our open-book log of every verified material correction made to published content on 30YearMortgageRates.com.

How This Log Works

We publish this log because a trustworthy data publisher corrects its errors transparently. Our full corrections protocol is described on our Methodology page. In summary:

  • Any verified error is corrected on the live page within one business day of confirmation
  • Material corrections (rate figures off by more than 25 bps, misattributed NMLS numbers, county FHA limits off by more than $1,000) are logged here with the date identified, the affected page, the field corrected, the prior value, the new value, and the authoritative source
  • Material corrections trigger a dated correction banner at the top of the affected page for seven calendar days
  • Non-material corrections (typo fixes, broken links, formatting) are logged internally but are not surfaced here

Report an Error

Reports can be filed via the Contact page or emailed directly to corrections@30yearmortgagerates.com. Please include:

  • The URL of the affected page
  • The specific field or figure you believe is incorrect

Reports are acknowledged within two business days and reviewed by a named editor. Verified material corrections are credited to the reporter with their permission.

Definitions

What counts as a material error?

A material error is one that could plausibly have affected a reader’s financial decision. Examples: a published rate figure off by more than 25 basis points from the correct Freddie Mac PMMS release for that week; a county FHA/FHFA loan limit off by more than $1,000; a sponsored lender’s NMLS # misattributed to the wrong entity; a state DPA program name misspelled in a way that affects discoverability.

What is not material?

Typographical fixes, broken internal links, formatting corrections, image alt-text updates, and schema structural adjustments that do not alter any displayed data value. These are corrected promptly but are not logged here.
